If I try to find a switch port, it never reports a direct connection. The problem I'm running into is that NetXMS seems to only be aware of some of the MAC addresses on the switch. I am on NetXMS version 1.2.17 at this site.

From the main menu, select Explore > Data.Doing both will result in duplicates where a discovered network device is also imported. You should either discover or import network devices.
